Day 26

This time the white cat was on my roof and then he was down in the garden cosying up to my human. Outrage! I got down there and let out a scream and attacked immediately. Fur flew. My human tried to get us apart. She went away and I think she was getting something – I think it was the hose pipe. So Big White Cat and I belted off.

That was a fight! I came back with tufts of white hair stuck to my face and bites and scratches all over. My paw was the worst and my ear was torn. Very painful. My human can’t see my bites because I’m black all over. One more fight and I will have got rid of HIM.

Day 25

I was up on the roof when I saw him. A giant white cat. A Tyson Fury of a cat. Big muscles on top of his shoulders. A long black tail like mine but the rest of him, white. There he was on top of the neighbour’s shed. My human calls it the Swiss chalet. He was sunning himself. I’m not having that! I came down and raced through the garden to the fence, up over it and along the broad beams over next door’s garden where the pigeon sits. He’d gone. I have started to watch out for him. Another interloper on my patch! I’ll make sure I sit on the chalet roof more often when the sun shines.

Day 24

My human spends a lot of time sitting on a chair which turns round and round. She stares hard at a white screen for hours, sitting on this strange chair. However it is black and quite suitable once I have scratched it up a bit so I like curling up on it. Anyway, when I tell her to get off, quite loudly, she tells me ‘No!’ I am not happy about this.

I go and beat up her arm chair which she sits in when she is watching another screen in the evenings. I can get underneath this one and claw it with my back legs. Very satisfying. I’m doing really well at destroying her sofas as well. Gotta keep my claws in working order.

Day 23

Today my human was on the front doorstep. There was a tabby tom there. What’s this, I thought. Someone else trying to move onto my territory? The neighbours next door have a new dog. I don’t like dogs. This one is smaller than me but I decided I wasn’t going to deal with that today – and the young tabby went off too – so that was good.

I think all these toms have invaded my territory because of something called Lockdown. I was lucky my human found me before all that. Too many cats! They are not moving in here!

Day 22

This morning I was eating my breakfast, tuna, my favourite, when I heard my human say ‘Hullo?’ to another person in the garden. I know that tone! I went to the garden door and there was a ginger cat cosying up to her. She looked round at me and said, ‘Stan!’ but I wasn’t having that! I let out my best yowl. It fills my lungs and it feels good. Anyway the ginger didn’t sing back. He crouched down and looked at me.

My human threw something near him and he was off. Naturally I followed. That was the last I saw of HIM. He is not moving in here.
